Possible Red Flag Issue?

I took a trip to VN in October...but due to the excitement of being in VN and seeing family and so forth, taking pictures was the last thing on my mind...I have pictures for the rest of my stay for the month but none of me and my fiance at the airport when we met...

anyone else forget to take pictures of that moment or is it just me??? :bonk:

was wondering if that would raise a red flag when i submit the petition and so forth...

No, it won't raise a red flag. We never take pics at the airport because we're too excited or too sad. As long as you have pics of you together and with family and/or friends, you're okay. Good luck with the rest of your jouney. (F)

I don't think that a lot of people think about taking pictures at the airport.

It doesn't really matter, so don't worry for that. They only want some pictures showing both of you, and even some family members with both of you.

You are fine!

it's not that they are looking for a specific photo, they need to see the big picture of your relationship in the photos provided...

from your screen name i take it you're a woman and petitioning your vietnamese male fiance? that in itself is not the norm, not sure if it's a red flag.

i dont think that would be more a red flag than the norm. I know of some cases where fiancee sponsors fiance :)

Things like divorces or having your relationship setup by relatives can be considered rad flags but not taking pictures at the airport is no big deal. Its good that you are taking steps to ensure you are doing the right thing but you should not have to worry at all. Good luck

well...i was introduced to him by his uncle...I live in a city where it's a moderate size Vietnamese community where most Vietnamese people know one another because we shop/eat at the same locations. Red flag would probably show up, but I can't help it if I live in a community like that. lol

Of course I'm sure that's where my "how we met" supplement would go into details to clarify my relationship with his family prior to our relationship.

That should be ok. Like you said, explain the details clearly about how you met and who introduced you to each other. If you met because of an uncle, the US Consulate will ask questions about that. Just explain it the best you can. There were cases in the past that were considered red flags because uncles or other family members helped to arrange the meetings but as long as you document your relationship well enough it should be enough to overcome any suspicions. Good luck

Simple: He loves you or the Green Card? Only time will tell.

His life in VN is actually pretty well off compared to most people.

I dont think he's willing to put up with my bs for just a green card
