Hey guys,

I just asked my questions in the FB group. But I will post here as well hoping I'll get some peace of mind. I would so appreciate any experiences with Ankara consulate - but posting here to here from other countries as well. (Admins..please :innocent: )

When the consulate emailed me to tell me I was scheduled for interview, they asked me a list of documents to bring with me right. But in this list, (besides the obvious like passport, medical, bank receipt) they also asked for my Ds 156 and Ds 230 part 1. As well as Ds 157 (I'm a woman?!). But I have sent all of these in Packet 3? I thought it was a generic list sent out to everybody. Then again I talked to someone else doing the same consulate and she was sent a different list. Any inputs? I'll provide all the list regardless. But you know..

Also... Were you asked to submit full tax transcripts (which is about 50ish page a year so in total that's a lot of copying for all 3 years back!) at the interview? Also my fiance's tax returns say "COPY" on them. Is this fine?

Thank you so much! :)

About the packet 3 questions.. I'm afraid that's embassy specific. As per your request, I won't move your post to the regional forums. Here's your country's portal http://www.visajourney.com/portals/index.php?country=Turkey You'll find embassy reviews and such.

About the taxes, since you fiance's tax return has so many pages, the best idea would be to request transcripts from the IRS (they are free and can be requested over the phone or online). The IRS sends those in the mail and they are only a couple of pages long... definitely much easier to handle!

When they scheduled my interview, on the confirmation e-mail that they sent to us, their requirement list was;

Passport

- Photos

- Medical report

- 1040 Individual Income Tax returns and W2 forms for 2011 from the petitioner

- Proof of relationship between you and your fiancé.

- $240 TEB receipt

So just for the last year's tax returns and W2 forms for 2011not for 3 years and no other additional forms (that we sent for the package 3).

I'd appreciate if somebody who recently had his/her K1 visa interview could inform us about the list.

Thanks in advance.

Just to be on the safe side, my fiance contacted the IRS and he requested form 4506 and 4506 T which will be mailed to him in about a week's time. That should be taken care of :)
