hi,

I have applied for an I 129 F petition thru CSC. My fiance d.o.b on her passport is different than the one on her original birth certificate ( i have included a copy of the B.C while filing).

i also have noticed some mistakes in the translation of some documents. the translation was made by a translation certified office.

my question; Can I avoid any troubles or delay by amending the petition/ calling USISC / sending a letter explaining my fiance is not responsible for the b.dates difference matter attached with the corrected translation?

t.y :(

I wouldn't suggest sending anything in as this may delay the process, What I would recommend is having her fix the issue on the passport, as this can be a problem. You can call and let them know of the inconvenience or just wait to receive a RFE and then you can provided them with a copy of the letter explaining the issue.

I would suggest that you get the items corrected as quickly as you can and wait for an RFE. There is not a very good chance that if you sent in more information to add to your petition, at this stage of the process, that it would get attached to your petition. It is akin to finding and matching up two needles in a VERY large haystack.

Good luck on your visa journey.

thank u for ur reply but what if i havent received rfe ?should i call them? in case it got approved, are they going to consider it misrepresentation at the embassy level ? even if we tried before the interview to explain and get them the corrected papers?

I dont understand how we got into this. I hope it just gets solved.
