CR1 visa refusal under 221(G)

I wish I knew why I'm under admin processing. It's been 6 weeks since interview and no news yet. I wasn't even given a 221g sheet! I'm simply waiting in ignorance...

What they told you during interview? Usually they do Admin Process to clear your name through FBI database. they pick candidates based on geographic location or if your names matches names in their list.

It was phone interview.....I just called DOS. It is still under AP. It looks like that they will interview me. Interviewer said that she will call my husband again if additional information is required.

no update yet, email status is not working it always says "no status update available for this passport" but when i call help desk they says delivered to post.

this uncertainty is killing me.

As far as I understood, the e-mail status checker is only for Non-immigrant Visas.

Hi Rahii,

Sending mail there doesn't give you the right reply. Whatever Pawan suggests you, check your status there in that given link. It is really helpful. I am doing the same thing and came to know from Pawan and Dinank only.

And you can send mail to this support-india@ustraveldocs.com anytime mentioning your passport number/ case number both. And within 2 business days they will give you the reply. And as far as format is concerned,

You can write:

To Whom It May Concern:

Then the body of the letter (let's say " I had my interview on so and so date and after the interview I got the 221(G) for .....(give the reason) and I have submitted that on ....date and OFC ( place name) along with my passport ( mention again the number).

Under this situation, I want to know the status of the passport.

I hope this helps you rahii and you can modify the letter as well. But do mention the date, time and place.
