Payal,

I know how you feel now, i was in the same situation. This time will also pass.

just focus and submit some more evidence, remember you are legally wedded wife of USC, they can delay visa but cant deny you. talk to your husband as well he can help to arrange some more evidence .

i also pre-booked ticket for my wife which i cancelled now, but i am going to india now and hopefully, will bring her with me.

ask your husband if he can come to india for some time that will make you feel better.

May god grant you early Visa. God Bless.

best thing is to call your husband to india,

- open a new back account or add him to your old account or ask him to add you on his account, if he has any NRI account that can be done very easily

- get a letter from bank that you two maintain joint back account

- take some new dated picture while he is in india

- ask him to make you beneficiary in his 401K, insurance if any and US bank account (which can be done online).

- take all these stuff and send it

YOU WILL SUCCEED.....

Thank you for the wonderful suggestion. had word with my husband, he can't come here but he is keep on calling me and I already I have few evidences and he has as well so need to jot down and send it asap. My hubby said that be strong and you will be fine so I am getting confidence for the fresh battle once again and I will succeed I believe. We had now long conversation going for 1/2 hours. I can't create anything new in this moment because the Indian VO told me, remember don't create anything new or overnight. So my husband says, that work on existing things, something new will create the red flag for them.

And I hope you will clear with your things as well.

God Bless!

My wife deposited passport for 221g at Mumbai Team Stanley Location on 11/28.

Did anybody hear anything back from consulate after submitting 221g documents?

Hi,

Good to hear that. I am going to submit documents on 12/4 (i.e. on Tuesday). I think when they will receive the documents, they will surely let you know. Did your wife get any receipt from the Stanley Team?

They did not provide any receipt and also told that premium passport delivery is not applicable for 221g candidates. I checked status today it says passport delivered to Consulate Post.

Hi,

Just wondering within how many days, does this Mumbai Consulate completed this 221(g) case? As yesterday 12/03, I have submitted the documents and passport to the Team Stanley in Kolkata and I checked the status today, it says, Your passport has been picked up. Kinda getting restless and irritate sometimes. My husband said yesterday that do your things now, as they will take some time to complete this 221(G) case.

Let me know! I thought, this new year and Christmas, I am going to celebrate it with my husband but again all alone, have to wait for 2013 :(

tomorrow they will deliver to Mumbai Consulate and status will change to "Delivered to Post" after that we are at mercy of Consulate folks to open and review our packets.

Hi,

Yesterday on Nov 26 I had my interview in Mumbai Consulate at 7:30am for the CR1 visa interview. Everything was going well all of a sudden the Visa officer asks about Snaps and I showed her the album, she saw that and the Visa Officer left the place and had some discussion outside. In short I am telling that I had 1 hour and 45 min. interview by three separate visa officers starting with one blonde lady, then one Indian lady visa officer and one lady Caucasian in an interrogation room there and they grilled me left right and center. Then after that they issued me a 221(G) refusal letter stating that I need to submit photographs of the ongoing relationship, or transfer of property, joint bank account statements.

In this stage how much it will take to complete the process because I am half dead now. Waiting for the visa to see my husband. I am dying to meet him. Anyone has any idea? Please have some. :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying:

Nothing to worry. If the Consular Officer said so that your paper work is good and kept the passport so wait until you get the good news. Are you sure you are good as far as the paper work is concerned?
