CR1 visa refusal under 221(G)

Hi Rahii,

Sending mail there doesn't give you the right reply. Whatever Pawan suggests you, check your status there in that given link. It is really helpful. I am doing the same thing and came to know from Pawan and Dinank only.

And you can send mail to this support-india@ustraveldocs.com anytime mentioning your passport number/ case number both. And within 2 business days they will give you the reply. And as far as format is concerned,

You can write:

To Whom It May Concern:

Then the body of the letter (let's say " I had my interview on so and so date and after the interview I got the 221(G) for .....(give the reason) and I have submitted that on ....date and OFC ( place name) along with my passport ( mention again the number).

Under this situation, I want to know the status of the passport.

did you get any receipt from OFC when you deposited your papers for 221g?

Pawan, few mins back I have checked my status and it showed the same status and so as the date. As far as receipt is concerned, I have taken that document submission slip and and my all documents details, passport and photographs are mentioned there. So the OFC guy took my papers, passport and photographs accordingly and lastly signed that sip and said " Ma'm this is your receipt".

But Rahii, after getting the 221(G), I called up the VFS help desk and they told me that first you need to take out the print out of the Document SUbmission Slip from ustraveldocs.com and along with that you need to submit the documents. And later I came to know after the submission, that it is going to be my receipt as well.

Didn't you take that print out along with your docs in the VFS? How they receive your documents without document submission slip even in case of only passport as well. That's why I asked Pawan about his wife regarding document submission slip?

okay..but when I asked the VFS help desk, they said that document submission slip is required even if you are submitting the passport alone in the VFS/ OFC. I have submitted the fat set of paper work, photographs and passport and that is why they wanted to see my document submission slip.
