We got NOA2 on 8 November and are still waiting on the paper instructions and our number to arrive in the post. The NOA2 slip did say it would be about 5 weeks so it is not overdue yet. We are stalling the process for the next stage to allow my husband's job applications to catch up on the timeline but I would still like the paperwork in hand so that we can apply for an extension and just because I am a total control freak.

Best wishes

Laura

hello again Everyone, question for the masses, after we recieve our case number, attend medical,,and get appointment for interview, should I the USC (James) attend with her to the appointment? reason we are asking is that we have a 18 week old baby, and we are questioning the possibilities of a long interview time, i will be travelling to London with my wife and daughter, but would be staying at the hotel and taking care of our child,,,any help would be appreciated :)

Have you filled out the I-864 yet? (Just checking!).

You can attend with her to the medical if you like, no problems there. She will be in and out in an hour though. The interview you can also attend but you have to get yours (and your daughters) name put on the list so you can enter. Personally, i would not advise going. The visa side of the embassy is not equipped for children and it does say on a letter (cant remember which) to arrange for child care and not bring them with you.

Have you done a CRBA (if you meet the requirements) for your daughter? If not, give me a shout and i can help. I did it in August for my daughter. That side is a lot more child friendly! At 18 weeks it doesnt really matter about the toys and stuff but they expect baby noise etc in there.

Hello Holly, thanks for your answer, yes we have already taken care of our daughter, she is a very happy US and UK citizen .just awaiting her passport and ssn to come in the post, We believe I will wait for my wife either outside the embassy or at the hotel depending on the weather, we are hoping we get her case number quickly, it would be great to bet there before end of year, lol wishful thinking eh!,haha hope you have a great day! :)

Sounds like a good plan. You can see in my signature how long it took for my daughters passport etc. to come if you are still waiting.

There are always a few cafe's around for you to wait in if you want the good news instantly!

Between the date of my medical and the date of my interview, there was 5 weeks and 5 days. I had two weeks notice for my interview.
