I just received an email from USCIS. My NOA2 date was Nov. 13th, 2012, and I figured my case would have been at the NVC by now. I have been calling daily to get my case number but they tell me the case takes up to 15 days to be put into the system. I called USCIS right when my case was approved to change my address but they told me the case was already sent to the NVC. I will post below the email from the 13th telling me my case was approved and the one I received today, I just want to know if this is normal. Thanks!

I just read my original post and it is not very clear. I received 2 emails from USCIS, one on the 13th and one on the 26th telling me my case was approved and sent to NVC. Is this normal? It has been almost 15 days since the 13th which the NVC says it takes to input the case into their system. I am trying to figure out if I have to wait up to 15 days again from the 26th? Has anyone else received 2 emails from USCIS telling them almost the same thing? Thanks.

Have you tried calling the NVC to see if they have your case?

absolutely normal.

I note that casefiles that were adjudicated at MSC , though, have faster trip times into NVC.

I say call NVC once a day next week, around 8:45 PM EST, ask for casefile status, till you find that the NVC TeleOperator tells you it's in the system and starts asking you for email addresses.

I just spoke with USCIS Tier 2 and they told me the case was approved on the 13th and an approval letter was mailed out to me. On the 26th, my package was mailed to NVC. It all makes sense now. Thanks Guys.

does your receipt # start with 'MSC' ? If so, could you please update your timeline and profile (both) to reflect 'National Benefits Center' as your Service Center and Filing Location? TIA !

My receipt number starts with EAC. It was transferred to NBC from Vermont. Should I change anything or is it fine the way it is?

meh - leave it as EAC... Thank You ..

(I've been nudging ppl about the change, as I've gotten MSC added into the databases here)

Sometime soon, i'm gonna compile a spreadsheet on this stuff, from August forward, posting data on the GoogleDocs.

IMO, to leave it as EAC skews the EAC stats, but I think is best to leave it as EAC.

Thanks for responding !
