I feel I am lost....any ideas how to fight depression and frustration...

Missing my husband but I know its not a good idea to contact him...

I wish one day I'll wake up and and the battle is over...

I have faith in God that I'll be ok in time but right now how will I cope up with depression and loneliness :crying:

Get on skype or yahoo chat with your family. You need a support network and that's a logical place to start.

Hi Shin Shin, I'm sorry to read your post. As rlogan said you need to get online and talk to your family, at least they could give you words of encouragement and comfort. Also, call upon the name of God, He will ease your burden and give you light. Pray and cry out to God as you need strength and wisdom. I was also in your situation before. I felt so depressed and as if it was killing me softly as I cried so much because of the unwanted situation and at same time fighting for my love. But, I realized it wasn't worth at all. I decided to come home, didn't marry and forgot about Green Card, and start my life again, now I'm well and have received so much blessings from God. I know how hard to be depressed and sad in America with no one to talk to. Just follow some advises given to you here at VJ and seek legal assistance so you could respond appropriately to your advantage. As long you are doing the right thing, being true to yourself, and not manipulating anything -- don't worry as God will be on your side. Be strong and keep your faith higher!

I agree with the other posts. First, try Skype or call your family. They will always be your biggest supporters. Also, when you talk to the JAG, ask if there is an "Employee Assistance Program" you can use/call. I'm not sure about the military but EAP is available to a lot of employees and family. Most don't even know anything about it. EAP can/may provide counselling over the phone and then set you up with a licensed counsellor in your area. Not sure if this helps you any but just an idea.

Uncle Darnell Say - Exercise!!!

Usually not cost anything, can do it anywhere on your own schedule, and

your body produces different chemicals and endorphens, actually helps to kick you out of a physical depression.

Now, I'm not a doctor nor do I play one on TV; but that's my holistic approach to it - there are thousands of folk that include it in their daily regimen, and many times (not always) - it works.

Wow! you may consider this bright suggestion of Sir Darnell. I think it would help you! Go exercise! and most prayer... always think, this is just temporary -- you will get over this soon! If you need to send me a private message, please do so. I would be glad to help you relieve a little of your depression. Always think, this doesn't happened to you alone. And that things happened for a reason. Sis, please cheer up! and be strong! :)

I agree 100%!! That works too! NOTHING feels better then a great workout. I don't mean a "whew I'm a little tired" workout, I mean a "Whoa, that really kicked my @$$!!" workout. Good idea "Sir" Darnell! Also, IMO, make sure you are getting enough vitamins. People, this time of year at least where I live, lack SERIOUS Vitamin "D". Nothing wrong with a few supplements to help as well.

Great idea Darnell, you may not play a Dr. on TV or on VJ but those are words to live by!

EDIT: Vitamin D deficiency has been linked to depression in studies.

so, take a vitamin pill, put it between 2 pieces of wax paper, or heavy paper,

and beat it with a rock.

this will turn it into powder. Mix with water, drink it.

when you're more settled in your living environs, obtain a small mortar and pestle, grind your vitamins that way.

Centrum are horse pills! Typical vitamin D pills are tiny, softgels that are easy to swallow. If you have trouble taking meds, might be a good idea to not attempt!

Some stores that sell supplements may have an "easy" vitamin, usually softgel, that's easier for people to swallow. Also, who's to say you can't have chewable?? They have those for adults too!

Oh my goodness. Theres so much 'misinformation' here. The facts are- you dont need a lawyer (its not required, you are able to represent yourself) but it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that you get one. First because he has one, and second because this is not an amicable separation. This is not something youre going to be able to do on your own.

Second- the date of separation has nothing to do with the date you were last intimate, although it could be relevant, the date of separation is exactly what it sounds like- the date you separated and left the home and were no longer 'together' in wedded bliss.

As for joint property it does not matter that the car is in his name. If the car was purchased while you were married its joint property. All the items in the home are considered joint property as well. Its what happens when you get married. Everything you own becomes your spouses. (unless you have a prenup) And the property needs to be divided in the divorce- how it gets divided will be decided in the settlement. So you can agree to let him keep the home, all the possessions inside, the car, etc and in exchange pay you 8k if you think thats fair, or you can ask for more. But you are incorrect in believing you have no claim to anything except the money you invested into the car. (perhaps thats what he wants you to believe but its incorrect)

So i will try to seek legal aid assistance then..because theres a lot of things I didn't know about the divorce...

yes he wants me to believe that I cant do anything and said he dont even need my signature in the divorce...

so the date of separation is the date that I moved out right???
