Here is my advice in regards to your situation.

Effective since 2007, all none US citizen should not leaves US without authorization from USCIS that mean, you will first need a travel document to return back home, so that you can reenter United States easily without any hassle from Law enforncement or immigration officials upon reentry at the US port of entry. Also, Keep all records for all police report in term of abuse that you are enduring now in the course of your marriage to prove to the USCIS that you did entered your marriage in good faith, but your Ex husband was the one that abandoned you and the marriage.

Lastly, do not worry about been deported. As long you get your Green card, you are in good shape. Start now to apply for social security card, so you can get a job to support your own life without the support of your ex husband.

Good Luck my dear........

Nota.Bene.: A Green Card is that authorization from USCIS that you write of. There are other examples, say an AP document or Re-entry permit, but for the OP, she has (already) what she needs, the green card.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

OP seeing your family members for strength is good but since U R in counseeling, and not working yet would'nt the safest thing be to sort out the immigration situation things before travelling...kind of get your foot on the ground

i will not leave the country till January for weeks to see my family...my concern is my husband told my sister that he reported me to immigration and said i can be deported so my concern is if i will have any problem for re entry here if its true that he made such report(accusing that I only want the GC fromn him)

Do u think they'll will take actions right away if they received verbal reporting without anu eveidence of accusation??

My husband of course got mad when he found out i made report of what happened so thats his way revenge to me

i think i will have no proble travelling back to my home country but my concern is if i will have a problem coming since my husband said he reported me to Immigration with false accusation...

Do u think they will consider that automatic fraud and void my GC??

If you're only gone for a few weeks it's ok, but if you plan to stay out of country for months then you'd bump into a problem as they'd see it as you abandoning your residency.

I don't think they will just cancel your card due to what he's said. He would need good solid evidence for it and you have proof that you came here for the right reasons.

I wish you the best!

One has 6 months to be outside the USA, prior to the Greencard expiring.

This 'few weeks' thing yer writing about, is dead wrong.

All I said is if she's gone for a few weeks, 4-5, then she shouldn't have issues returning. Not sure how that was wrong.

Hello,

So sorry about your situation. From what I've read if you've gine for more than 6months uscis will remove or revoke your GC.I've heard a lot of stories about USC reported their wives because marriage ddnt work or their wives cheated or whatsoever. If your husband reported you sure uscis will ask for proof that you entered to thus country just to have a GC.

Now if he doesn't have any legal proof against you what the hell is the uscis ganna do with it.Don't be scared about his threat. He is just mad & trying to kick u out of this country.Let say e is not happy anymore to be with and simply send you back home. You are not a washing machine once he purchase & ddnt work he will bring you back to store and simply says ddnt work let me I'm taking my money back.

Start looking for a job, continue your life & next time be careful of chosing a man.No body doesn't have a right to control us,Don't let your life to be controlled.Live free with pride. If you want to see your family go ahead & bring all your paperwork with you...God bless you...think positive
