Got my medical on Friday afternoon - I pretty much have every shot they need, except the flu one! Is it worth me going to boots tomorrow to save Money? Absolutely crying having to hand over £227 right before Christmas for what seems to be a 20 minute check up....

Hi,

They will pass you even without the flu jab and then you can have the flu jab done at a later date.

You can pay £12.99 at Boots

Or

£21.00 at the medical exam

And be done for your AOS (greencard) requirements.

Or put it off until you are ready to file AOS ($1070) then pay

$25-$30 in the US for the shot PLUS a fee to civil surgeon to write up a new immunization sheet. People have paid civil surgeons $35, $50, $100, $200 and had trouble finding one who would do it without performing another full exam.

Yes you can wait until later for any shots, but if you don't get ALL of them on your record at Knightsbridge before it goes to the embassy, you will pay a price to get a brand new immunization form (I-693) filled out by a civil surgeon in the US. Finding one who doesn't want you to have another medical exam, TB test, or isn't 2 hours away is the challenge before you can get your greencard. Knightsbridge will tell you you can get it later and send in the proof with your AOS. THEY ARE WRONG. The USCIS will not accept something from your GP or Boots. You will show your proof to a civil surgeon who will fill out a form accepted by USCIS and pay his fee.
