United is going to start using the Dreamliner, the latest Boeing airliner on the IAH to LOS route starting January. I'm in fact rocking it back from Lagos in sha Allah in January.

PS: It will be super cool if either United or Delta should start using the A380 also.

I flew the Dreamliner from Seattle to Narita. I have to say I was REALLY impressed. Don't know if it was just ME but it seemed very quiet and smooth. Have a safe trip and enjoy!

Quiet and smooth is part of the effect of what they came up with from using lots of plastics.

It's also a huge fuel saver for the airlines due to the use of composites.

If you get a chance to fly the A380, take it, the upper deck is even economy class unlike the 747.

Yeah, well I sure noticed a big difference. I was also impressed because even though it's not a big plane, it still managed to seat a LOT of people, with comfort too unlike the old cattle truck effect. That was nice because I'm 6'4". Leg room is hard to come by!

I have heard great things about the A380, comfort and a smooth ride. I will say the size is very impressive when you see it at a terminal or on the runway. It dwarfs just about everything, except the 747. No airline, that I'm aware of, uses it to serve SEA.

I rocked the A380 from Paris to San Francisco on my last trip from Lagos. I must have misread but I thought Emirates uses it to fly into SeaTac from Dubai.

Ah Now I understand the dreamliner is a 787-8 and the A380 is an airbus. United is flying the 787-8 not an A380 so there is no upper deck between Houston and Lagos.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.
