Possibly loosing job during ROC

I'm about to file for ROC. My company is going through massive layoffs. I may not know if I will possibly loose my job for another few months right in middle of the ROC process.

My question is this.. What is the Risk of waiting to see if I will loose my job during the middle of my ROC ? What will be the impact if I am on unemployment and have a gap of employment during ROC seeing I am my wife's sponsor ?

As far as a job goes it would be best for me to wait and see if I will indeed loose my job. The benefits and salary are very good at my work. The downside is if I wait until a layoff it may take a few months to secure a new job.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You do not need to show income for ROC. All that was for AOS and the I-864 which is still enforce. All you need to do is show that you are combining your lives together to prove the marriage was not for immigration benefits.

There is no risk in waiting as far as its impact on the ROC.

Thanks for the reply Dave. This has been on my mind a lot lately. I'll try to stick it out at my job and hopefully it won't come to a layoff.
