Anyone Ever Been To Chartierville, Quebec?

My wife and I had the pleasure of spending the 4 day Thanksgiving weekend in a log cabin on the 1st Connecticut Lake, in Pittsburg, NH. We were only 20 miles from the Canadian border and decided to take the ride up Rte. 3 into Chartierville, Quebec on Saturday. We were greeted in French at the border crossing by the CBP, asked a few questions and were on our way.

Chartierville is a very small farming town with not a lot going on until snowmoblie season hits. We drove around town for an hour or so, had something to eat, and then attempted the one hour (or so) trek west to Sherbrooke. We took Rte. 210, a dirt road, but the only main road headed west. We drove about a half hour and only travelled approx. 10 miles due to poor road conditions, the fresh snow caused wet, icy and muddy conditions. With another 20 miles or so to go before hitting the outskirts of Sherbrooke, we decided to call it a day and head back to the states. CBP on the US side was a bit more intense, but no troubles to speak of. I got a bit of a chuckle out of the officer when he asked me if I was carrying more than 10K in cash and I answered, "I could only wish". All in all a nice 1/2 day trip.
