AP iat Cairo Embassy

So disappointed ...my husband had his interview at Cairo embassy yesterday..everything went well and he answered all questions so confidentr and the co told him your marriage relationship looks good but he got AP @ the end..I flew to be with him and here we go another period of time is waiting ahead of us..God be with us and hope our AP will be very short!

ps: when we go to check our AP status it's giving us this msg " Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80040e37'

I am sorry you got AP but it is common for men in egypt. Anywhere from 66-90% of men get AP (depends on who you talk to) Most last 2 months

Age difference: i am younger 6 years than my wife.

religious difference: we both same religion

married before: my wife was married before, but no kids, and i was single.

Did you send pics with his family and you?: i had them with me in the interview and the CO saw them.

What did you send with the I-130? unfortunately we didn't send the proof with I-130 but i had them with me in the interview and CO saw some pics and my wife had my name in her life insurance and he saw it, and some call history.

PS, the CO told me your marriage seems good but it needs AP so i think he wouldnt lie if he didnt like our relationship.

The Cairo Cos do lie. If you look at the list it says the co told people congrats you will have your visa in 10 days and they got it 1-2 months later.

But I hope he was truthful with you and I hope you get your visa within 2 weeks.

If you did not send any evidence with the I-130 maybe he just needs to review the evidence and you will get your visa.

yes, but my interview was very good, he asked me alot of questions and i answered them all with confidence. i am just little confused why did he let me go through AP.

Is she related to you or is it an arranged marriage? she is not related to me, and its not an arranged marriage, we met online as most of couples and we fall in love.

Is she egyptian? no she is lebanese and i am palestinan from egyption mother and resident of egypt since 8 years.

Did you marry on first visit? yes, it was in lebanon, i went to propose to her and met her family first then we got married on the first trip.

yes, i kept it, the CO asked me do you need your passport now, then i said no, so he kept it with the case, and he told me that to check the website within 1-2 months, and when i get the approval send him an email, so they can send me the passport with the visa.

Don't worry this is normal, even if there are no red flags in the relationship men from MENA countries will almost always have to go through AP. I'm actually already factoring in 1-2 months extra processing time for the whole process already
