Hello;

I received an email stating

Your case has been accepted and routed to the USCIS National Benefits Center for processing..

What is that and why? I thought it was supposed to go somewhere else or maybe not? Any answers would be helpful. Thank you all for your time,

I believe the question was 'what is the national benefits center'

The answer to that is that's where the I-130s are being processed/filtered now.

It's normal.

Pretty much anyone that's filed after August 15th gets transferred there.

Be happy, they are fast.

Most of these (if not all) are then transferred to field offices (which are near your residential address in the US).

You may never hear about that transfer (some don't) or you may (some do).

Yes, but the rest of the story is that the actual processing appears to be at local field offices. The good news, is that so far, (a limited sample) it this procedure change seems to have shortened the processing time by a few weeks.

so far, it's about 1/3 of all trackable cases, getting to a local office, with the remainder handled solely at MSC.

the word or was the kicker, for me, over at

Also, I fixxored ye, it's a few months, not a few weeks.

Semantics. 4.5 to 5 months - 3 months is six to eight weeks. 8 weeks is a "couple months" not a "few months", in my eyes. A few weeks is a more accurate and precise statement than a few months. YMMV. :-) So, no "fixoring" needed.
