If I were you I would definitely do that. The K-1 is very restrictive for your circumstances.

Can I get a mod to move this to the CR1 board as I have a few CR1 questions to ask which will not be relevant to this forum

It's very rare that a mod would see your move request unless you hit the "report" button. Having said that, you're best to start a new thread as the first page of this thread will have everyone confused and you probably won't get your questions answered.

my fiance is arriving at JFK airport in New York tomorrow from Turkey and I was told he can ask for working papers at his point of entry in customs immediately. I was told this by a catholic charity that helped me file my initial paperwork. I guess we'll try it and see what happens. I can update you in a couple days to see if it really was that easy. Sorry, but even if they still give out that stamp at JFK, it is not authorization for a K-1 entrant to use for employment. You must have an SSN and EAD or green card, period.
