My wife received her AOS and EAD NOA1 back on 10/10 and our last touch on the USCIS website was 10/16. Bio. Appt was 10/25 and no new whatsoever. Sooooo, today she receives the interview appt. letter out of the blue. Nice surprise, but I was really hoping to receive the GC w/o an interview as is common out of the CSC. Oh well.

Our K1 Timeline:

01/2005 Met online

04/28/05 Visited fiancee for the 1st time

08/07/05 Visited fiancee for the 2nd time

08/09/05 Got engaged

08/27/05 Submitted K1 to CSC

08/30/05 CSC received I-129F packet

08/31/05 Received NOA1 in mail

09/02/05 Check cashed

09/03/05 Received NOA1 via snail mail

09/03/05 Enrolled for email notification

10/21/05 Approved!! NOA2.

10/24/05 Received email stating NOA2 mailed out.

10/28/05 Waiting to hear from NVC.

11/05/05 Waiting to hear from NVC.

11/?/05 NVC case number issued. MNL2005807XXX.

11/08/05 Petition send to MNL.

11/19/05 MNL received our petition from NVC.

01/26/06 MNL Embassy mails out interview packet

02/11/06 Visited fiancee for the 3rd time

02/21/06 Received Interview Packet from MNL Embassy

03/14/06 Medical

03/30/06 Interview

04/04/06 Visa is released to Delbros for delivery

Maybe your local office processed the AOS quicker so they don't forward them on to CSC ...

just looked at your time line an los angeles is your local office so the way i would look at it your already there in california so why transfer you to an office your already in the system at...

at least you have an interview already in your hand mate ...

REMOVING CONDITIONS

11th Aug 2008 - Mailed I-751 to CSC.

12th Aug 2008 - Application received

14th Aug 2008 - Cheque cashed

18th Aug 2008 - Received NOA-dated the 12th

26th Aug 2008 - Received Biometrics letter

4th Sept 2008 - Biometrics-Detroit-Complete-'Touched'

5th Sept 2008 - 'Touched'

1st Dec 2008 - APPROVED-Card production ordered -112 days

8th Dec 2008 - USCIS mailed approval notice.

8th Dec 2008 - Received my 10 year Greencard in the mail. took 2 days.

Although I have the above date for approval my card actualy states the

2nd December..

Well, the thing is that we submitted the package to the Chicago lockbox. So I figured they would forward it on to the Los Angeles office and we'd get some notice when that happened, but I guess not.

Actually, seeing your timeline ... it was fast at your end to received an Interview date for AOS .. hmm 2 months after you received your notice of application.

Oh yeah. Don't get me wrong, we're pretty happy. I guess the whole issue was being in the dark during the processing time.

I don't think they will tell you when your AOS case is moved from MSC to your local office ... I think they only tell you when they send it to CSC rather than your local office ...

So I wonder if it ever made it to CSC from MSC or did it just go straight to our local office? And is that common?
