Vermont is taking a while.

You would probably do best to post here:

There's unfortunately lots and lots of your sitting and waiting. Sorry =\

Have you called uscis and to find out what is going on with your petition? I say give them a call and see where you petition stands.

Mine was accepted by VSC on April 24th, and I am still waiting! Horrible!

May 17th, been over 6 months. The problem is that they are backlogged because of this Deferred Action thing that Obama pushed through. The program started after we filed our petitions but yet they're pushing these out within a few months, while we're still sitting here waiting. If you want to see what I mean, copy your case status number, go to "Check My Case Status" on USCIS website, paste your number, and change a number to one that's newer than yours. I'm seeing tons of them that were filed after mine and already approved.

That's a scam to me, they should have been put in line behind the people who filed paperwork before them.

I found plenty of suggestions by googling "how to speak to a person at uscis"

I'm not going to post any of them as I'm not sure which still work but I think you'd have some luck trying the same.

Every case is different, you cant just go up and down the numbers and see cases that are similar to yours. They will all be different and have different processing times. Even two people filing the same petition at the same time at the same service center will have different approval times.

Its frustrating waiting but it does no good to try to blame other petitioners going through the same process we are.

All you can do it make sure you're ready for the next step and call to get a Tier 2 person.

Also I cant find any information that the VSC handles the I-821D (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals), so Im not sure it has anything to do with it.

push no buttons after dialing.

After 5 minutes, you are transferred to a spanish-english speaker, spewing forth in Spanish.

When he/she stops talking, say 'English Please' then ask your question.

Good Luck !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
