Just wanted to say hello to you all and tell you a little about myself, my fiance and our journey.

My name is Elspeth and I am an American citizen. My fiance's name is Alistair and he's an English citizen. We met while working as English teachers in South Korea and got engaged this past May. We've had a few hiccups in our K1 visa process, but that's why we're here I suppose. The information here is outstanding and the community seems wonderful. I'm so glad a forum like this exists!

Anyway, looking forward to chatting, learning and sharing. Have a lovely day :)

I love a guy who looks like he could be on Criminal Minds as either an agent or a killer.

Thanks! Love the girls in your av. Are they yours?

welcome from one english/american couple to another :)

Yay! You'll have to keep me updated on your progress. :)

I'll be getting to see the fiance in 22 days, after a long nine months! I can't wait to visit his home and meet his family.

I love a guy who looks like he could be on Criminal Minds as either an agent or a killer.

That was the part I was scared-stiff about when I met my (now) wife's! So you're doing the whole English Christmas, eh? I hope your fiancé or his family will have the Christmas pudding (with brandy butter) and crackers out ;).

Good luck with the K-1, and don't worry about snags along the way - it's a pain in the #### but I did it, which leads me to believe it must be possible for everybody else, hah.

There's that smell again...

Nope, not at all. It's a constant reminder (to me) that my wife and I are working on making twins. It's been fun, educating her Chinese Doctor in Wuhan , from the Chinese Doctor in Texas.

I am excited to try this pudding. It's funny because when we were planning the meal for our wedding reception, he insisted on a "pudding" course and I was like "wth why would we have a pudding and a cake"...but he got his way and I'm excited about it after all.

Yes! I've been exchanging emails with them for months upon months and have skyped with them multiple times, so I'm not entirely nervous BUT there is the whole rest of the family to impress! I am, after all, dragging their first-born son away to America.

Are you doing a late Christmas with them in Jan? Have you done the dreaded gift shopping yet?

Well that's awesome! I wish you and you wife luck with that! And I'm sure going back and forth between doctors is an interesting experience. I totally fell in love with Korean kids while I was over there and wished that I could have packed a few in my suitcase to take home, but alas.

Oh, that's awesome! I don't think mine will be able to meet my family until our wedding. Good luck with everything!

Well, if your name is Ms. Jolie, anything is possible.
