Hey Guys,

I am LPR and I filed I-130 for wife on last week of February 2012. Application is currently pending at CSC. I got NOA 1 on Feb 23, 2012 and after that I have not heard anything from them yet. When I filed I-130, CSC Processing Time was 7 months, after few months it went to 9 months now the current processing time is 13 months. It looks like, when my application reaches 13 months, they will increase processing time to 16 months or so. Looks like they will never touch my paper. Is anyone there on the same boat? Is anyone, who is LPR, have recently got I-130 approved from CSC? If yes, what is your priority date?

Thanks

One thing to consider is that as a LPR you will have to wait for the priority date to become current before a visa is issued. You can go thru the entire process and still have to wait for your priotiy date. That depends on the country that the beneficiary is from. That can be 10 years or more. You can file for USC and once that is approved you can change your status and your wife will be able to arrive right after the visa is approved or you become a USC. You might want to have a look at the explaination of priority date here.

You are in for a very long wait I am afraid,

Good luck,

Dave

F2A process only takes at least 2 years (at the very most 3 years) to complete from i-130 to visa issuance.

We are now experiencing a "halt" on NOA 2 issuance but as long as the PD for F2A is moving well on the Visa Bulletin, we're good to go.

Hi Dave

Current waiting time fr F2A is 2 years and 5 months around. Previously it was 3 yrs. It's not 10 yrs at all. For your kind information, F4 waiting time is around 10 yrs.

Hi Formywife

Vermont processing time is slower than CSC. I am waiting 17 months since NOA1. Hope, we will get good news soon. thx
