Ir/cr for spouse and stepchild

I know what is needed for spouse since I am in the middle of the process with my wife. However, when submitting wife and stepchild I know there should be two 130's with separate fee and all. Should there also be two copies and translations for the wedding cert? My understanding is that all that is needed for the stepchild is the birth cert original and translation. Des the child need a 325a also?

When in the NVC I am guessing the child also has ds230 and separate paperwork. Or can the steps for NVC also be done together. Meaning pay separate fees but send one package for aos with wife and step child and same for ds230.

Thanks for the help.

Its best to send 2 copies of every thing, because they go to different department , my husband had to send in most of the paper work twice to USCIS and NVC because they requested copies for my sons file,

you don't need to fill out a g325 for the child just spouse.

but yes your going to need separate ds230

The only thing they will share is the $88. fee when it get to the NVC and there interview date.

every thing else is separate.

Good luck.

If God is for me who can be against me!

Where are you in the process? I had to submit the translations of the wedding cert and birth cert to the USCIS for my wife and her stepdaughter. The NVC told me the translations were not needed since the interview was going to be scheduled in Bogota.

Cesar & Cata,

They finally approved my case at Vermont Service Center. It took calling all the way up to the Associate Director who emailed me personally that I have been approved.

What did your process entail after the approval. I have almost all the paperwork required for IV & AOS ready. How much did you pay for both. I'm not very sure if it is $88 and $420 respectively or the amount has changed. Please advice. Thank you.
