Hey kash!

Your journey seems just like my journey we have waited 2.5 years and finally now have an interview date. I have a question! What is a Nadra marriage certificate? And we have a child. He was born in the USA do I need to add him in our case? Also are there less chances of having an AP if you have a child. I'm so paranoid seriously! We waited sooo long. I can't wait any longer :(

What is a Nadra marriage certificate?

I have heard of it but never have that, its actually a computerized marriage certificate. ( i have normal nikkah nama in english and urdu, you must take both with you, they said there isn't any official stamp of Maulana etc, I said its suppose to be like this) on top of that i have receipt of marriage registration which is normally done from mosque with nikkah nama i showed them with dates and signature etc then they were quite and said ok) But if you have time then do make it just in case but on that certificate you have to make sure your wife's name will be same as in CNIC, PASSPORT & GREEN CARD

we have a child. He was born in the USA do I need to add him in our case?

MASHALLAH, If your baby is US Citizen then you don't need to add him any where in documents ( that's what i heard and i have done).when they asked me do you perform all ceremony's like RUKHSATI? I smiled and said this was done ages ago, i have a baby now then he realize no point of asking further questions on that, CO asked where yr baby born ( show me birth certificates and Passport copy) U must have that.

To be honest i have seen CR1/IR-1(First Priority) got AP in front of me even both husband and wife together in the consulate still they bloody need to do **SOME INTERNAL WORK**. I hope you wont get AP INSHALLAH but on 19 nov i saw 2-3 people got visa approval out of 40 plus candidates.

Advice,

Just dont worry, be honest and positive. ( any questions please ask )

(If you want i can send you what i got with me at the time of interview means 'PERSONAL CHECKLIST') GOOD LUCK!!!

Thanks for the reply! That was helpful. I will let my hubby know about the Nadra certificate. I actually sent our marriage certificate in English and Urdu to the nvc with the rest of the paperwork. It would be wonderful to send me the checklist and I have faith in Allah and I pray for the best because our relationship is pure and our beautiful child is our witness and we have no fear in showing our honesty. Pray for me and my hubby inshallah everyones duah will reflect our result. INSHALLAH!

Hi kashj, I have been scheduled for an interview on January 14 2013. Yesterday I received the I'L from NVC. the last page of the 5 pages from the interview letter puzzles me. a part of It states CORRESPONDENCE INSTRUCTION............DOCUMENT STATUS-C. C means "DIRECT INQUIRIES TO YOUR EMBASSY/CONSULATE" This morning I sent an email to the embassy with my case# and name and a few minutes later they replied saying that "this office is not in receipt of this case file" that i should direct my inquiries to NVC but NVC stated on the I/L that all inquiries should be forwarded to the embassy. This is confusing. The I/L even stated that they have forwarded the case to the embassy. What do u suggest? I dont know what to begin doing.

That's how it suppose to be, don't need to worry, you just received IL yesterday. ( When NVC send your file to local consulate like ISL it would take 2-3 weeks. If you have appointment then its done, prepare your documents if you want to contact US ISL embassy regarding your appointment do that in 2 weeks i wud say. But honestly speaking just chill your wait is over Inshallah you will get visas

regards

Wow! Congrads!! When I read you got your visa It gave me hope and I'm sure it did to a lot of other people. Inshallah! Our prayers will be listened to as well! Kash I had couple of questions about the list you provided to me. You said IRS transcripts? Is that different from the tax return? See my bhabhi went to the interview last week and they gave her a blue sheet saying since your sponsor lives with other household member we needs the transcript of all the household members that work to see your eligibility to be sponsored by your husband! I don't understand my brother mashallah makes enough to sponsor her an that's why we didn't do a cosponser so why are they asking for household income!? I'm really nervous about my hubby's interview! :(
