You wait for an interview now (or an RFE if you missed something), generally 2-5 months. Start gathering documents to prove your relationship is genuine, joint lease, health insurance, pictures, etc etc, for the interview.

If you are still wishing to expedite the AP, then make an InfoPass appointment and take the receipt notices from filing your AOS forms and documents showing the need for you to have your AP expedited. They may not grant it, but they might, so it is worth a shot at least. If you cannot get the AP expedited, it will take about 2-3 months to receive.

I walked into my local office and got fingerprinted on the spot and didnt have to wait till the appiontment date which is in 2.5 weeks

Well, the biometrics information was sent off 2.5 weeks earlier, so hopefully it will be looked at / evaluated etc (whatever they do) once they receive it so it might make it the 2.5 weeks faster.
