Hi Guys,

I sent my ROC application last Nov 7 and was delivered Nov 9 at the VSC. And just right now I got home and got my application waiting on me at my front door. They sent my application back. But Why???? I'm in the 90 day period. My GC expires 01/04/13. Im not early or late at all.

They attached a notice saying that ROC is to be filed within the 90-day period. And that they are returning my application because it was received prior to the 90 day period that the petition could be legally filed. I dont understand when my GC says

Card Expires: 01/04/13

Resident since: 01/04/11

any ideas????

pls help.

also on my I-751 form they stapled my check and they wrote a note on the REMARKS saying CR6 01/04/12.

Could this be a mistake that they sent my GC with a wrong expiration date? I just realize that I just got approved for my I-485 last January 04/2012.

Please help. cos my card says it will expire in January 04/2013 and thats really soon. I dont want any problem to happen. :(

Looks like your card has an error, your resident since date should be in 2012, and expire in 2014. It appears it is correct in their system but not on your card

Make an infopass apointment

good luck

You entered the US in 2012, just earlier this year, right? Why didn't you notice the error on your card until now? Did you really think your could ROC after just one year?

It was a mistake. You got approved in January 2012, just earlier this year. Often around the change of the year people are confused and keep writing the old year. That happened on your card, it said you were approved a year before you actually were. You need to get a replacement GC with the right dates. If there are no available appointments, then I would wait a few days and see if any open up.

Thanks! Theres another Field office in TAMPA which is 1 1/2 hour away. The one here in Orlando is only 20mins away from me. Should I go to Tampa or wait til theres any available open up here in orlando?? Im thinking this is an urgent matter because my card says it will expire in 2 months and I wont have any proof that I am still a legal resident here.
