My AOS packet is all ready to be sent out, but a couple of questions. Should I use paper clips or staples? Should I fold any forms or sent them unfolded? How do i seperate other forms in the packet?

Also, for the I-864, i noticed on here some people talking about getting it notorized? do i need to notorize it? I have all the tax return documents with it already...

oh before i forget.. can i sent an original certified copy of my marriage certificate? or do i have to send a copy? i have a couple of other notorized letters from family/friends, can i send the originals then?

thanks,

omar

I only stapled papers that were part of the same form ... I used paperclips to attached the pictures and checks to the appropriate form ... I also paperclipped all of the pages associated with the EAD (I didn't apply for AP) as they will divide the EAD /AP from your AOS (if you applied for either of them) ....

I didn't get the I-864 notorized and didn't have any problems ... The instructions don't call for it like they did for the I-134 ...

I sent a certified copy of the marriage certificate as when we applied for our marriage license we purchased 4 certified copies ... We were expecting to have to use them for different reasons ... We never supplied any evidence in regards to letters or proof we are living together ... That info is usually requested at the time of the interview ...

Basically always supply photocopies of things unless you can easily get more copies of something as USCIS is famous for loosing things ...

CSC claimed they didn't have our marriage certificate even though I know 100% that it was in the package ... This is common that they loose parts of your package at different stages of the process ...
