Interview Scheduling

Has anyone had an interview scheduled for the next month during the last week of the previous month? I am going to the Philippines in a week and our case has closed at the NVC. I plan on staying with my wife in Manila until she completes her interview and I am able to bring her home. We were hoping for a December interview but a delay in paperwork pushed our completion date to the 20th of November. If there is no chance of a December interview I have no problem staying until the process is completed but I am still holding out hope for my wife to be home before the new year.

I am not sure how your visa type works, but I got a dec 7 interview date for my fiancé on Monday of this week.

We received our NOA2 from VSC on 10/18 and 5 days later I was able to get our Manila case number from NVC. NVC assigned the case number the day they received our petition but still took over a week to process before sending to Manila. As soon as we had the Manila case number we paid our visa fee at BPO and 12 hours later we were able to schedule the appointment date online for Nov 19. We took the first available date which was one month and one day after our NOA2 date.

To finally answer your question, yse we did have an interview in less than one months time from the date of schedueling. Now we are waiting on her passport/visa to be send. As of Friday evening Manila time it is still at the embassy.

From my understanding K-1 visa applicants schedule their own interviews. CR-1 Visa applicants need to wait for the NVC to schedule the interview. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

December interview were already assigned. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/392652-december-interviews/ There seem to be several slots for December though so it might be possible to get a December interview still. Has your wife been to the medical yet?

Not yet, she was waiting for the interview to be scheduled so she could register online and bypass the queue. However since I am going to be there in a week we'll just make a day of it and go down the first week of December and get it done.

This is correct, for the PI.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
