Hi. My wife (applicant) and I (USC) have our interview scheduled for this coming Monday (Nov 26). We have some questions we were hoping someone could answer (to the best of his/her knowledge of course):

1. Regarding photos of our life together that we should bring to the interview - should we bring copies? could the interviewer request to keep the photos? And if so, does the copy need to be a digital photo print? or would one of those standard copy machine black/white copies be good enough?

2. We don't have wedding rings. We don't care much for rings and I guess we're just not very traditional in that sense. I actually got her a simple wedding ring for the ceremony because you HAVE to have one, but I believe we didn't take it with us when we moved to the states and honestly, we don't know where it is. Could that be a problem?

3. I have translated all documents that are NOT in English. For the filing of the I-130 and I-485 forms we submitted copies of the original documents, along with my translations and a signed deceleration that the translation is accurate. For the interview we are supposed to bring originals of birth and marriage certificates. Should I bring additional copies of translations and the signed document again? Or is what was included in the filing of the I-130 and I-485 enough?

4. We live in a sublet arrangement which was settled pretty informally with the original tenant. No contracts or anything, just a security check and we mail him the rent every month. All utilities are on my name. Could that be also a problem? Is there any way of showing that we live together that possibly I haven't thought of? All we have really is just some post mail addressed to my wife at our address - for example the USCIS mail and social security. She also has a New York State ID with our address. Will that be sufficient?

5. We tried to add my wife to my USBC bank account, but it turns out USBC will not open an account (or add to an account) anyone who is not either a USC or permanent resident. They make some exceptions, but we were told that the process is difficult and can sometimes end up with the closing of the account (!?). We thought of opening a joint account at some other bank, but giving it a second thought, we decided against it for now. We figured that opening a new joint account just a week or two before the interview might look more suspicious than reassuring. What other options could there possibly be that we are financially intertwined? Should we open a joint account anyway (even though it's just a couple of days before the interview)?

Thanks!
