So here I am doing my homework, :)

So I read the Wiki article you wrote about the P3 Shortcut, and she is working on the DS-230 Part 1, and the OF-169.

I plan to start calling the DOS everyday to see when our packet is sent out.

My question is that I asked one of the most recent K-1 applicants who received the P3 from Guangzhou, and he said they asked for the photographs and a copy of the information page from the Beneficiaries passport. Is that new? If we do the shortcut should I include those just in case?

Also why are the GUZ IV Forms mentioned in the wiki? Those are the forms that have to be submitted right before the interview, correct? Is that just a heads up to prepare those?

Thanks for all your help!

Journey so far:

09/14/2012: Sent I-129F Packet

09/21/2012: NOA1 Received

04/22/2013: NOA2 Notice of approval
05/08/2013 NVC Received

06/01/2013 Packet 3 Received

06/04/2013 Packet 3 Sent

06/10/2013 Packet 4 email received

06/27/2013 First Scheduled interview-cancelled (didn't get notarized paperwork in time)

08/12/2013 K-1 interview passed!

08/28/2013 Lili Arrives in the U.S.!!!

10/04/2013 Marriage!!!

03/26/2014 AOS Approved!

04/02/2014 Received GC

hold up - the wiki needs refactoring !

things change much since 19 March 2013 - I am still gathering info about it

but...

Please study all at the ustraveldocs site, for now. i have a linked p3 pdf file somewhere here at VJ now, made about 10 references to it.

so far, for current P3 shortcut - IF you can log in and create account at ustraveldocs site with GUZ#, then pay at CITIC, then put receipt # in the website, you will be able to self-schedule. No mailing of OF-169 back to Guangzhou at all.

I'm still gathering information. I am also relying on Guangzhou using the SAFEFILE version of the casefile (ya, look that up here, too, la) for the K-1, if it is not at the IV Unit by interview day.

re: photographs and bio page copy of passport.

photographs requirement from DS-230 and bio page requirement from DS-156 or DS-157.

so, nothing has changed there.

Darnell, some more info on CGI website. Called DOS nice lady said P3 sent on 5/24. Registered (K1) on CGI-Stanley, She went to CITIC and made payment and before she got home the receipt number was already on CGI website. Clicked next to make an appointment and it list no appointments available (I think because it is the end of the month, does that sound right, they just have not opened up new dates for July yet?). I'll keep you posted but if this shortcut works it is great news.

Mr. Johnson - thanks so much for that !

I'm still thinking, when one learns of 'GUZ IV open the casefile' timetick from the DoS hotline, then it's safe to send in the stuff asked for in that letter you posted.

I'll refactor a bit over the weekend.

Anyway to get the actual measurements? Is it just plain white paper?

Just the post itself helps, she can at least prepare the envelope and contents.

Thanks a million!!!

So we received our packet 3 over the weekend.

Since we already knew what was coming, we are able to respond immediately.

I was able to give her some help over the phone since I already knew what the P3 checklist looked like thanks to the Johnson's post. :)

I asked her to take some pictures of what she's sending back, maybe that will also help someone later.
