My hubby and I had our interview in Seattle, we had lots of documents ready, interview went ok, however we did not get an instant approval, at the end of our interview, the officer gave us a letter requesting us to mail in our sponsor's Tax forms, W2 and proof of citizenship (we had only his w2 and paystub with us). Does this mean that our case will be completed as long as we submit the requested documents?

Thanks in advance!! :)

No, it does not mean your case will be approved once you send the stuff in. It means that the case cannot be approved without those things, and is pending adjudication until those items are received. Without more details, how you entered the US, what happened at the interview, it is hard to give any meaningful advice.

AOS for my husband

ROC:

I was a student in the US and graduated in 2009 and finished my OPT 2010. I have been going in and out of the US the past two years and this time i came in with a tourist visa, my husband was supposed to move back after his studies but his parents wanted him to get some experience here and therefore we decided to get married and file for a petition so we can stay together until he moves.

At the interview, we started with pretty basic questions like biographic information, how we met, when did we decide to get married.. since i was originally here since 2004 as a student, i had bank accounts with a student status, when we tried to add my name onto his account or add his name to my account, we were rejected by the bank saying that they need my updated citizenship status. However, we provided a letter from my friend saying that we have been living in the house, other letters from friends proving our relationship, joint mobile family plan, gym membership, utility bills, internet and cable, vehicle title and insurance etc... our officer kept asking for more and i gave him everything i had including chat history and text history from 2010..

since neither of us are working right now we have a sponsor filing the i864 for us, we brought in his w2 and paystub.. the officer did not say anything and simply printed out what he'd like us to send in.

any further comments?

thanks.

Your case will be completed once you send those documents in, yes. They will either approve or deny. However, from the information you have provided, I see no reason why you should be worried about a denial. Sounds like it all went smoothly, and is a pretty normal case. Whenever we have heard of a denial, there have been serious contributing factors.

I should adjust what I said - if they are unsure still, they could require a second interview. Again, I find this unlikely in your case, as presented.
