Hello Everyone. Thank you in advance for your help. It's kind of a lot of questions... I hope it's not too much. I will first provide a little background. I am the USC, I live abroad with my husband and have for 6.5 years. I am up to date on my tax returns. My mother will be my Joint Sponsor, as I do not have enough assets, and my income will not continue after we move to the states.

Here are my questions on my i-864:

1. Do I have to put n/a or none in all of the blanks, like I did on the I-130?

2. On question number 8, it has a check box, then says, "I am sponsoring the prinicipal immigrant named in Part 2 above." Underneath that there are 2 more check boxes for "Yes" and "No".... This seems redundant. Do I check the box next to the statement and the "Yes"? What is the meaning of this? (I am my husband's sponsor. He is the principal and only immigrant)

3. My mailing address and place of domicile should both be in the US right? (my parent's address) Even though I haven't lived there for years? I still list it because our intention is to move there...?

4. For total houshold income, do I just list my income or do I include my husband's income? Neither one of them counts anyways.

5. Tax Returns for 2nd and 3rd prvious years: Is this really necessary since my income doesn't count anyways? It says "Optional," but I don't want to cause an RFE. But at the same time it just seems like extra paper work and doesn't provide any information about my future ability to support my husband.

6. On the last part, the sponsor's contract, it says "Print your name". Do they mean this needs to be handwritten or can I type it in like the rest of the form?

Thank you so so so much to anyone who read this whole thing and can help me!

Jules :)

1. Yes, leave nothing blank.

2. Check Yes. This form is used for many different hings, including whole family immigration where there may be a principal immigrant and several derrivatives.

3. That is what we did (list my husband's sister's address even though he never lived there).

4. Divided pinions here- I put 0 even though we had income, as it would not continue. I would do either that or list combined income.

5. I would do 3 years- it's to show you filed the taxes.

6. You can type or write.

IMO, answer 3 is incorrect. Provide the address(es) where you currently reside and get your mail on the day you sign the affidavit. Do the same for your DS230 by the way. The key is to "tell the truth". You will then also add a supporting letter as evidence you have intentions to re-establish domicile in the USA. On the DS230, your spouse will indicate the address where they intend to live in the USA, and the name of the person who lives at that address now.

Saying you now live at a place you haven't lived in years would be to lie on a visa application. Very bad results can occur from doing this.

I would add that when you've put "NONE" in the first blank of a section, you may simply leave the rest of the section blank. This goes for all forms. For the DS230, for example, there are spaces to list all children. If there are no children, just say No Children and leave the rest of the section blank. If there are only one or two, just enter the one or two and leave the rest blank.

The key is to answer all questions, not put something in all spaces.
