I haven't been on VJ in a little while - things have been crazy busy with my life here and my fiancee in the Philippines. I hope those who've been waiting many months on their approvals have gotten them and hope the process is getting back to normal now.

It's been 5 months since my fiancee and I have been together in person but that streak is finally coming to an end this weekend. I'm leaving tomorrow afternoon and will be with her in Manila (Mandaluyong City) on Sunday morning. We will have 3 weeks together and are planning to marry on Nov 18th. I've never been looking forward to a vacation so much.

I'm pretty sure that between us we've got all of our information and documentation ready - we just need to get it all together and organized. Well, that and get married and get the marriage certificate of course. Once I get back we will start the CR-1 / K-3 process and we can finally join all of you in the great waiting game!

Married on 11/21/06 in her hometown city Tumauini located in the Isabela province (Republic of the Philippines)

12/14/06 - Received by Chicago Service Center

12/18/06 - NOA1 notice date from Missouri (NBC)

12/21/06 - NOA1 received in mail

01/11/07 - Arrived at California Service Center

26th Aug 2008 - Received Biometrics letter

4th Sept 2008 - Biometrics-Detroit-Complete-'Touched'

1st Dec 2008 - APPROVED-Card production ordered -112 days

8th Dec 2008 - USCIS mailed approval notice.

8th Dec 2008 - Received my 10 year Greencard in the mail. took 2 days.

Although I have the above date for approval my card actualy states the

2nd December..

Congratulations on the trip and upcoming marriage. That's great. My getting married 2 months ago in the Philippines was one of the best things I've ever done. And I've now been away from my wife for 1 month and so jealous of you, I'm ready to go back again. Hope you have a great time, and hurry back so you can file that petition (after enjoying married life for a short time, of course).

Thank you everyone for the well wishes. It's about 30 minutes before I head to the airport for the loooong journey. :clock: I'm not looking forward to the flights but I am definitely looking forward to seeing my fiancee again. :dance::dancing:

Congatulations on your wedding. I'm going there myself in 4days and counting, to be with my wife for her K3 interview last time we saw each other was almost a year ago.

Just some advice, have her get all the papers you will need for the I-130 and I-129F ready so when you leave you'll have it with you. God knows how long it takes to get papers from government agencies in Manila.
