Hey I filed my petition on February 16,2012 and found out a few months ago that ICE had frozen my file from a congressional inquiry. I have been in the middle of finding a lawyer to make some inquiries and today I received an email stating that my petition hs been forwarded to a local office. Neither my fiance or I have any criminal background and I am a military member with a security clearance. I am wanting to confirm that they are probably wanting to do an interview to confirm the relationship is genuine before approving the visa thanks in advance.

You haven't got NOA2 yet, so these enquiries are about the petition, not the visa. Yes, it looks like they will want an interview with you. The reason could be manyfold, such as:

- big age or religious difference

- Being close family members

- Her having been petitioned before

- you having recently divorced

- you having gained citizenship through marriage to a USC.

- Your security clearance, combined with her job/ political background.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

Hello Penguien_ie, I belong to the 2 manyfolds you mentioned.first, we got married 2011 after he got divorced, it just a matter of 3 wks ( his prev. wife was also an overseas but was not able to migrate to US. They were separated for 5 to 6 years before we got married. He filed for divorced when he decided to marry me. We had a civil marriage in my home country after given to our first child. Second, my mom petitioned me 2003 as married to US citizen peitioner.but in 2004 i found out that my first marriage was null and void. So i filed an annulment 2005. Last 2010 we got a mail fr USCIS if my mom still interested to continu the petition so my mom made a letter that stating we are and and also if it is possible to change my category to f1 fr. F3 . So do you think these were the reasons why it takes almost 10 months now for noa2. We have the same situation with res488 but im cr1 applicant. Thank you....

Looneytoones, your issue is completely different from the Ops, both in visa type, country and red flags. You will get better answers if you post your own topic about your own case.

That is correct I have still not received my NOA2 yet but I am hoping that it is getting one step closer now and they are probably just wanting to confirm the relationship is real.
