Happy thanksgiving!

congratulations on your pregnancy!

I'm not quite there yet, but I want to play, I had my visa interview in Sydney on Tuesday and got approved, so I'm thankful for that, and thankful I only have to wait another 13 days to fly to Honolulu to my new home with my fiance and not have to leave him again. I'm thankful that the hardest part of this process is finally over.

Not to be nit-picky but we're not "new Americans", we're simply living in the US as LPR's. I only mention that because saying you're American implies you're a citizen and saying that when you're not can cause biiiggg issues. I always make super sure to specify I'm an LPR, not "an American"... yet! :P

In terms of being thankful... I'm thankful for a lot of things. This is my 3rd year here, 3rd year of marriage. We have a house, 2 dogs, jobs, working vehicles (most of the time) and our health (most of the time). Times are sometimes hard, as they could be still being in Australia so all in all not bad. I did lose my father this year which is of course awful, but he went peacefully, the family was able to say goodbye, and I was able to travel home to attend the funeral thanks to my very understanding employers (who I'd only been working for for about 2 months at the time I asked for 2 weeks off), without fear of losing my job and being unemployed, again!
