I have couple of questions regarding my change of status.

I was on a J1 visa till 9.20.2012 and on 9.3.2012 i applied for change of status (B2) and extension to travel abit and to visit my relatives till 12.25.2012 In aprox 10 days of sending the package with all documents i got NoA that i am in process for getting B2 visa. That was september 7. 2012. Meanwhile i renew the contact with a girl i met 2 years ago. We started dating and eventualy got married. Since i still didnt got any responce for my current aplication and some attorneys told me that proces for change of status sometimes can last up to 4 months of date of aplying i am curious now am i actually gonna get my answer till december 25th. till when i asked for extension or it`s gonna come after that cos i basicly asked extension for 3 months.

Also since we prolly wont file AoS soo fast since we dont have too much doc my question would be what can i do right now to adjust my status somehow with some temporary visa till i file AoS package based on my current marriage?!

While i was filling I-485 form there was a question in part 1 "Current USCIS status" and "Expires on" where i honestly didnt know what to put cos i am pretty much in process for getting B2 and on some way without of status curently as i stated above..

Thx in advance

Your circumstances are kinda complicated since you basically get married to one USC on J1 visa. And before the marriage you applied for B2 visa too. Personally don't know so much about J1 visa but remember someone talked about before that someone is not supposed to marry on J1 visa since that requires some waiver process. Furthermore, you have already applied B2 visa before your marriage, and if you are having your interview about your B2, you cannot lie about the truth you are married already. This can put you in somewhat bad situation. Marrying someone before getting visa B2 is considered fraud. Even someone marry on B2 visa also is considered fraud unless that person can show very strong convincing reasons and tons of documents.

What marriage has to do with type of visa ?? I am not a subject to 2 years rule for J1...

There is no interview for B2 visa if you are seeking for change of status / extension...

Furthermore, if you decide to return to your home country and prepare for all documents when right time comes by, you need to apply for CR1 visa since you are already married now.

This is what i needed thx alot
