I'm starting to get a bit worried about what's going on with my wife's green card. We had our interview on September 19th of this year and it went very well. The lady who interviewed us (in Detroit) basically went over our packet quickly, asked us maybe 2 or 3 questions, and then said she would have to review our packet one final time. She said everything looked in order though and as long as they didn't need anything else from us, she would be approved. She also said if anything was needed, they would contact us.

Since then we've gotten no communication at all from anyone. Nothing via email, phone, nor regular mail hard copy. I'm starting to get a bit worried now as most people who have filed when we did have already received communication and/or their GC. Should we start contacting some one about this to find out what's going on. If so, how do we figure out who to get in touch with. We filed at the Chicago lock box, and as stated our interview was in Detroit.

usually when they have to review the packet before giving an official approval, the wait is around 60-90 days I think? I may be mistaken.

If you want to feel better, do make a call.

Thank you for the information. I called today and the lady on the line said the case was still "still within the normal processing time". That's basically all the information she could give us. Are they always that vague with information or is there some way I can get more detailed information. According to her, everything is still on track, just no decision yet on approval or denial.

I would make an Infopass appointment at your local office (presumably Detroit) to check on the status of your case.

That and / or contact one of your congressional representatives for help.
