My Greencard arrive today and my welcome letter..saw the postman's truck and ran downstairs ....and he hands my mail...he couldnt believe my excitment on getting mail so i had to explain it to him....ran into the bedroom cos hubby was still sleeping an he sez in a drowsy voice did it arrive i said yes then he sez wake me in another 15mins lol :blush: more joy when he wakes up lol :D

so rapt that all is correct on the card ..am wondering though if we have to submit 2 sets of photo's to them why do they use the one taken at the biomentrics my other ones were better lol....

so now i dont have to have anything to do with them for 2 years well under 2 years and the feeling is great...now i dont feel like such an alien here..well except for my accent lol

Good luck to all who are waiting especially all my CSC buddies who are still waiting and thanks for all your help along the way...

REMOVING CONDITIONS

11th Aug 2008 - Mailed I-751 to CSC.

12th Aug 2008 - Application received

14th Aug 2008 - Cheque cashed

18th Aug 2008 - Received NOA-dated the 12th

26th Aug 2008 - Received Biometrics letter

4th Sept 2008 - Biometrics-Detroit-Complete-'Touched'

5th Sept 2008 - 'Touched'

1st Dec 2008 - APPROVED-Card production ordered -112 days

8th Dec 2008 - USCIS mailed approval notice.

8th Dec 2008 - Received my 10 year Greencard in the mail. took 2 days.

Although I have the above date for approval my card actualy states the

2nd December..

Did your welcome letter and green card come in the same envelope ?? Did you receive an email regarding that they sent the card ??

AOS / EAD
08-24-06 - AOS/EAD mail to Chicago (Day 1)
11-06-06 - GC & Welcome Letter arrive in Mail (Day 75)

I-751
09-23-08 - Sent Package via USPS (Day 1)
01-02-09 - Received GC in mail (with wrong Resident Since date) (Day 101)

they come in seperate envelopes..welcome letter comes in an envelope with u.s. department of state on top left hand corner...the card comes in an envelope with two clear windows at top left it sez p.o box 10765 laguna niguel cal...

and yes i received notices that they were being sent...

was looking at my card and the date intrigues me because approval date is the exactly 4 months after i arrived....approved 25th i arrived in toledo the 25th june...lol

Biometrics : 08/04/06

Interview : 10/19/06 - Approved, name check has been cleared

Another Biometrics Notice Arrived (what is this?!) : 10/23/06

Fingerprint appointment : 10/31/06 - I went there anyway and they told me it was simply their mistake to send me another one

Infopass : 11/20/06 - They couldn't find my biometric record in their system

Biometrics Appointment : 12/08/06 - Hopefully they will start my green card production!

Recived an email update - Card ordered : 12/13/06

Card received : 12/21/06 YEAY!!!

thanks for the congrats an yes im still smiling even scanned it an printed it out for my files...and to show my family overseas...

its a good feeling to be over an done with the govt for awhile thats for sure...

we will be celebrating on the weekend our birthdays and now the greencard arrival lol
