I am confused by the instructions for direct consular processing in Frankfurt. I received an approved I-130 in the mail from Rome. What do I do next?

On the website you are requested to fill out a Ds-230 form and send it in with the signed date for interview form from the checklist. Now I am confused, I was instructed by the brochure they gave me NOT to send in any documents unless instructed to do so. On the website, it states that you should send in the checklist with the original documents as soon as you can as the review will take between 2-4 weeks before an interview can take place.

Can someone describe what they have done? Do I wait for a letter from Frankfurt? Do I send in the documents now?

On another point, I also have received a DHL letter within my post, which I need to pick up at the post office. Could this be the requested checklist from Frankfurt? Do they send out your case number information per DHL?

I hope that your replies can be as specific as possible about mode of communication.

Thanks

Well....no one replied. I now received the information from the consulate.

You should wait until you receive another approval letter direct from the consulate with the list of steps now to be taken. They refer to step three on their website. We mailed the checklist and all originals and copies as described. A week later we received an interview. I believe that they try and schedule the interviews in a priority to when your expected departure is planned.

Just returned from the interview. I was not able to enter as the petitioner. My wife went in and only needed about 40 minutes. They laughed at her for bringing photo albums and said that they did not need any of that. There was no review of the I-864 form, all was done previous to the interview.

She was informed that her visa will arrive in a few days, and that she will need to bring the envelope, her X-ray to the POE.

Just to help anyone who is nervous about how long DHL takes in Germany.

We waited three work days and have been checking the online DHL tracker...no information as the express brief has not been scanned. Today it is in the system with expected delivery today!
