Hello I am new in this forum. i have a problem about ds-230 FOR 2ND INTERVIEW ON 29TH NOVEMBER 2012...

please help me about LIST ALL EMPLOYEMENT FOR THE LAST YEARS on ds-230 form ? is it only formality or what ?

Cause i cant remember what i wrote in my first ds-230 in December 2010 and they wanted a new ds-230 for 2nd interview...

What should i do ? I cant remember my employments cause all of my employments are temprorary and i wrote that for formality...

HELP PLEASE !!!!!! What should i say to consular officer about it if get any question next week ?

its not just formality. you better remember what you wrote there. you didnt make a copy of it?? you should have been careful not to just write in random inaccurate things for formality. you are in big trouble.

No, it is not a formality. What you write is the truth. That would be the same thing you wrote the first time. Right? When you tell the truth, you don't need to remember what you say. You just say the truth again, when asked. If things have changed since 2010 the truth will look "updated" but it will still be the truth.

well his issue is that to begin with he wrote watever he could think of bcoz he thought it was a formality so he cannot recall what he made up. So what is his best course of action???

Tell the truth. The form asks questions. Provide the actual answers.

Do they ask you for a new ds-230,was it checked on the checklist? thanks just curious because i have interview in DEC but it doesn't say anything about a new ds-230

Yes a new ds-230 requested to bring to interview . it will be my 2nd interview maybe thats the reason i think. but really i dont know why it requested again.

Apparently, the intending immigrant in this case, thought the DS230 was a "formality" and that truthful answers were not important, so they "made up" information about themselves. Depending on whether these lies were considered "material", the consequence COULD be a lifetime ban from entering the USA. Take it seriously. Tell the truth now and let the chips fall where they may. Further lies will only make things worse.

Wow they could really issue lifetime ban for that? Yes it seems he just made up stuff to write there, he really misunderstood the form. writing unemployed if that was the truth would not have harm him. I didnt realize this could be so serious as a ban though....

FYI, there's a little warning notice on the DS-230 form that says:

"Any false statement or concealment of a material fact may result in your permanent exclusion from the United States."

I forgot to inform you. My visa has been approved yestarday . I faced nothing about ds230 no problem than welcome to USA.
