Just wanted to see if anyone here would know the process for when the paperwork is completed by INS here (National Visa Center?)....Just wandering when they are done and approve from here, and they send the package for processing to the overseas Embassy for issuing the Visa, what exactly do they send there? Is it all of the paperwork or just the papers/documents that are needed over there?

Thanks!

After your (assumed) K-1 petition file is approved by Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) USCIS (pre 9/11 term - INS), Your file is then sent onto the Department of State's (DoS) National Visa Center (NVC), where it undergoes further processing and handling, then your case file is sent onto the interviewing consulate/embassy. Perhaps reviewing the DoS Nonimmigrant Visa FAQs will help you better understand the process:

For an overall view of the governing laws associated with these processes, review the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) of 1952:

Good luck on your visa journey.
