You may have had what is termed a 'chemical pregnancy' where your body started the pregnancy process hence the pregnancy hormones that were produced and the positive pregnancy tests by blood and urine. But the embryo probably did not implant properly so no pregnancy started to form hence why the ultrasound came out the way it did. Chemical pregnancies are very common and many women have them and may not even realize it happened. It may take a little while for your hormones to go back down but I would trust the ultrasound.

If you still are unsure you will know in a few weeks when no pregnancy symptoms start to show. You can google 'chemical pregnancy' for more information. This will have no effect on future pregnancies and like I said is quite common.

Do you know when you would have conceived?

A ultrasound, especially a abdominal one, may not show anything for several weeks. If you had an abdominal ultrasound, ask for a vaginal one. If you'd rather not, or you had one of those, wait 2-3 weeks and then if no heavy bleed, have another one.

Ultrasounds cannot see anything before 5 weeks, if you are less then 5 weeks that would explain it. Are you having any more blood work done, blood work is one way for doctors to check your HCG levels once they are over a certain point(I think 1500) then they can see on an ultrasound. Hope that is what is going on with you and not the Chemical.
