You can build your own America, where everyone thinks and lives like you do. The rest of us will be fine, don't worry.

So your saying there's plenty of homosexual friendly construction workers?

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

They love money. It'll work out.

What extra do they want?

Something less tangible than taxes or wills or visitation.

The same thing African-Americans wanted during the civil rights struggle. Separate but equal wasn't equal in reality, but even if it was...

Come on, this is your argument.. not mine. I don't have strong feelings either way.

They wouldn't be left minded enough. Union guys vote for dems to keep them in the money and that's as far as it goes.

Who cares how they think as long as they do their fu**ing jobs?

I'm not worried about the blue collar homophobic masses you allege exist. As long as the future has money to pay them and projects for them to work on, they'll be around.

But why hire a bunch of guys who think homosexuality is an abomination? That goes against principle doesn't it?

You won't live here. Don't worry! Enjoy your new America.

When UI runs out, he'll come by if you have work for him.

Not any principles I have. If I have a job that needs doing, I want the best value. Limit your conversation to the job at hand and we're good.

Addressing the 50 year old man with 12 year old girl scenario. The reason it is illegal is because the 12 year old brain is underdeveloped. It is well known and documented that the younger the brain, the less it can comprehend decision making and consequences. The brain is at the developmental point in which it is creating and breaking down connections based on experiences. This is why younger people are more prone to risky behaviours - because they don't see how it could go wrong. This process stops between 18 and 21/22ish. A 12 year old cannot make a proper decision beyond what they see in front of them. All they see is an older man who is in a position of authority over her who intimidates her. Does the 12 year old girl know that what's going on is bad? She might not, but hopefully does.

The laws are in place to protect young people from emotional/psychological/physical harm because the majority of the time these girls cannot protect themselves. They cannot protect themselves because their brains are literally underdeveloped due to a lack in chronological years and life experiences.

OP has used a ridiculous example.

My UI ran out a few months back. :)

Ok, so it's not a problem hiring people and paying them tax payers money even if said workers find homosexuality an abomination. As long as we got that straight we have something to go on. Those principles don't apply when you need something done and there's nobody else to do it.

Yeah, but what about men and dolphins? Adult dolphins? They have well developed brains!

Correct. I have no qualms about using anyone if I need to.

Looks like a poster for NAMBLA

What's NAMBLA and what's it have to do with Andy Griffith?

It's weird that the only time I ever hear about NAMBLA is online posts by old guys.

I learned about it from watching South Park.

What's NAMBLA and what's it have to do with Andy Griffith?
