Let me correct that he didn't date it at all

I am not too sure, but my wife had to send in a new DS-230 Part 1 because she forgot a date next to one of her entries (not her signature). It added a whole extra month to our process. They couldn't (or wouldn't) take the information through an email or over the phone. The best thing to do is send a whole new DS-230 Part 1 with the signature and date along with a letter explaining why you are sending a new one so you don't have to wait for an RFE.

Artisan is helpful fwiw... I would mail the updated ds230 today with the same barcode sheet placed on top of it with a letter explaining my action... Best of luck!
