Kindle and Russian Language Books

I'm thinking of buying the wife a Kindle for Christmas but I want to know if they offer Russian Language books. She would be most interested in the newer fiction books. My wife loves to read and she has exhausted the small selection of Russian language books at the local library.

If Kindle doesn't have Russian language books does anyone have any suggestions for how to access Russian language books?

I was looking into this too and came up with very little. Though I know my fiancée's roommate wants me to send her 2 of the basic kindles, so there must be support for it there. Many have iPads, or even look into the new mini, my fiancée does have a nook though.

Kindle can natively display Cyrillic. Seems it is the best e-reader on the market for the Russian language. Sonysomethingsomething and Nook need additional software/hacks to get it done.

There is a Kindle app for the iPad. I read my books via Kindle through my iPhone.

The Kindle 3 has cyrillic capabilities. That is what got me thinking about giving it as a gift. But I can't figure out if there is a selection of Russian language books out there for her to read.
