The white establishment is now the minority. The question is why would he have been defeated 20 years ago?

Disability is a start but it is not welfare. From there you need to apply for food stamps and medicaid. Medicaid is the most amazingly good insurance I ever heard of and it is very cheap. Home heating assistance is also great. Your disability income will easily qualify you for all that stuff.

i didn't think it needed to be included. the answer to your question is obvious. 20 years ago people took pride in being self reliant. now many take pride in getting X amount of entitlements.
