Is it okay if we buy a ticket thats a multiple stop? the first stop is at Narita Japan then second stop LA California, then final stop San Diego California?

No problem at all, POE at LAX

I'm from SD too, but I'll pick him up at LAX. Two hours of layover to SAN is right about the same time I travel to LAX

Hm... after rereading this... the issue is that the clause says once she enters the US soil, i dont know if they will check her passport and stuff from LAX to SAN, Never having done this before ( this is my first and only marriage ) I just want to make sure.

Her port of entry is LAX, so all of her stuff for immigration legality purposes will be checked then. From there, the flight from LAX to SAN is domestic so they'll just need her identification (which she may as well use her passport for that) with no immigration officer involvement. Worst case scenario, they'll double-check her passport to verify she has a legal stamp granting entry to the country, but that'll be a quick 10-15 second ordeal that shouldn't require any kind of questioning from TSA security when heading into the terminal.

No passport needed, just ID and ticket from LAX to SAN but she will have to check in her luggages. I'm not sure if she'll still have to pay extra for those, back then we don't have to. I don't do connecting flights anymore after LA, I have my sis pick me up and just pay for her gas. To save you trouble, just drive up there and off to Disneyland

Do not worry, my wife had never flown internationally before and she had a stop in Japan. There she met a Filipina who was traveling to the USA and she graciously guided my wife through the airports that my wife stopped at. Just have your Fiance look for other Filipinas that are traveling to the USA and everything should be fine.

Thanks, I got her a ticket on delta. I pre-checked her in and paid for the extra luggage. My only fear now is that the delta airlines will ask for the card information. ( they did this before when she was flying to singapore ). I have sent her copies of my cc'd and my driver lisc just in case they ask for proof that I paid for it. I hope I have not forgotten anything else! At this point I am crazed with excited and anticipation and I am praying for a smooth transition from one location to the next. All of this is so sudden and I know she has so much going on with her... plus no sleep so she is very tired. Thank you all again for the wonderful support. Without this site we would have not had such a smooth process. <3 much love

She will be fine. Everyone from what I read gave great advice. She will have plenty of time to rest on her flight over the pond. After she arrives and is sleeping in your arms from the jet lag, type with one hand and send us an update as we all like to hear good news and learn if there were any hiccups.

If she's been to Singapore, then LAX won't be new to her. Both are huge terminals and have really long lines. Even some of the stores are the same and not like NAIA at all. I was asked about my fiance's name, his address, and when were we planning to get married. The POE officer was a Filipino. He told me that I didn't have to stay married to my husband if he abuses me and that I can file for removal of conditions against VAWA. I thought I was still in CFO Seminar. The main difference that I recall between LAX and Singapore is that the restrooms in Singapore don't all have toilet bowls, some of them have holes in the ground instead..

Someone mentioned needed a visa for Japan which is false information if you are not leaving the gate area and only transferring to another plane.

Same about ID, more false information, as long as you are staying in the gate area transferring between flights you will not pass through TSA and will not be asked for ID.

I passed through Narita as well on my way to LAX. I didn't need to present a Japanese visa as Hank said. I did recall showing them my boarding pass before I boarded the plane.

My stopover was Narita, Japan too & I didn't have Japan Transit Visa.
