Living together question

Question 21 on the I-130 is looking for an address of where we have lived together after getting married. We stayed in a hotel for 17 days. How should I handle that question?

A hotel is not a permanent residence in my opinion. Put your permanent address where you live and get mail.

Mine says NONE - SEE SUPPLEMENTAL EXPLANATION.

Then, On additional page I stated that my husband and I reside in separate countries but we hold a joint lease on an apt in Canada

Thanks for the responses. I hope this doesn't sound rude because that is not my intent but I hope to get a response from someone who has successfully been through the CR-1 process and their spouse is here in the US.

Answer, "We have visited but not yet resided in the same country." Visits are not "residing" or "living". No worries with the answer I gave you. It's been used successfully hundreds if not thousands of times.

To elaborate, even though I have an address on my Chinese Driver License and had to be registered in my sister in-law's home book to get the license, AND my wife and I own a home in China, in which we have never lived, I have only ever possessed a visitor visa for China. So, even though my wife and I have been to China together for 8 and 12 weeks at different times, as well as several other shorter visits, I have NEVER "lived" in China, in the context of the I-130 question 21.

OP, I used the phrase "We have not yet lived together" to answer that question and had no problems doing so.

It's just the street address of the house or apartment where you and your wife live right now. It's rather self-explanatory..

It is not self explanatory if you have not lived with your spouse.

Makes complete sense if you live together, but I had the same question because my husband and I haven't "legally" lived anywhere together.

You filed DCF, so that answer is correct. It would not be possible to answer that way, since the couple is not and never has "lived together".

On mine, I put 'None, we lived in hotels in Wuhan and Chengdu, please see attachment'

and the attachment had a list of the hotels and dates, with receipts.
