US fees paid by check by another party?

I am currently in the Philippines and I want to submit the I-129F ( I am a US citizen petitioning for my Fiance' who is a filipina). I understand it needs to be mailed to the US lockbox for processing but I do not have checks with me and money orders made her may be no good in the states.

I plan to send a package to my brother in the US who will include copies of my birth cert and other documents I don't have access to here and he would mail it for me.

Could he or my mother who I take care of back in the US write the check / money order for me? I won't be back in the United States until Feb 17th 2013 and I want to get this process started as I can see it takes....longer than anyone would like.

The requirement is that the check or money order be drawn on a bank in the United States. There is no requirement that the petitioner sign the check or the check be from the petitioners account.

Thank you so much for the reply, sorry for my delayed thank you =)

this is great news! mailing everything back home this week.

Knowing this I can have family drop a check in for me and then forward it on without having to do a bunch of other stuff or big delays.
