anything else needed for ASO?

As you all know, I sent in my I130 as a seperate petition w/o the I485 back in september. Since our situation changed and now adjusting status, i had sent in the I1485 packet last week.

Since the I130 and I485 got sent seperately ( i did send a copy of the notice of action from the I130 in the 485 packet) , do i need to do anything else? or sit tight until we get appointment for biometrics and interview? i just wanted to double check.

They will match up your I-485 with your already-filed I-130 and it will proceed as a concurrent case.

Nothing else needs to be done on your end, other than waiting.

well i got my text notification today ! i got two of them, i guess one for the 485 and one for the EAD?

i do have an MSC prefix on the confirmation and i am sure this has been asked but when will i be able to check status online? will they take the MSC which is the NBC?

Yes you can check status online, but it's not very useful. Your case might take a few days to be searchable online. There is also a monthly filers report thread you can join and compare progress with people who filed around the time you did.

yeah i've been checking case status online for my I130 and of course there is no updates yet - i filed it in September so its still wtihin two months.

since i filed for ASO in Novemver, what should i expect as far as timeline? would i join the Nov ASO thread or which one? i am not sure since i had to peice m i130 and 485 together in novbember now as my situation changed.

Thanks ! i just joined the Nov ASO therad! woot hope it goes fast. hopefully my wife will have her EAD within 60 days so she can start going out of the house a bit and exploring the real life hahah - poor thing she's getting too bored at the house since she's stuck there but at least now with the holidays around we'll be going out of town few times and then by January she'll have her EAD ( pending i can find a car for her too hheheh) -the growing pains of starting a new life together ( in good love of course)

Yes, it's one of the hardest things to wait around the house. Do you live in an area with public transportation? Volunteering somewhere would give her a sense of purpose in her life for the next few months.

Why can't she go out? Just keep a copy of her passport in her purse as an ID. I made a photocopy of my wife's passport and many places take it just fine (for credit card, restaurant, ...).

I think he means she can't go out very easily by herself because she doesn't have a Driver's License, etc.

I used to live in TX, you can drive with a valid foreign driver license for a short term. Check with TX DPS.

yeah, i don't mean literaly she can't go out ! but we don't have a second car and when you are in Tx you have to have a car ! not good or big on public transportation here. I live in Houston and we do have some public transportation but i am a bit west in the suburbs. I am currently looking for a car for her to go around , she does have an international drivers licence and she can drive w/o a problem. I have a car but its manual and she doesn't want to drive it and drop me to work ( so she can have the car) and then pick me up..so i started looking for a car so she can have her'freedome' i know it has been hard for her.
