Just a thought........ but dont many americans do the same to their sons.... chop off bits of it.... all in the name of being clean!!!!!

IMO nobody has the right to cut off any part of any child's genitals wether its done in a hospital, clinc or house....

It may be only 1/8th of the skin but it is still not right to do this... there is no proven benefits to doing it.... people say there are benefits but that is so they can justify the non-medical reason to mutilate little boys.... there are many more men un-circumcised in the world than are.... do you see them droping down dead because it has not been done...

Hm I've heard some men had it removed and it increased sexual pleasure. The truth is, there ARE proven medican benefits to doing it. I'm not advocating circumcision, but it's not all one-sided.

So if it might reduce the risk of cancer in males and females should we all start cutting off our Breasts because that would reduce the risk of cancer too....

Yes there is it they both mutilate the childs body.... only diffrence is in the degree of mutilation.... does not make it right...

There is a world of difference between a western style male circumcision and lopping off the girls #######. Speaking as one who has been "clipped" I wouldn't want it any other way. Trust me, I enjoy sex plenty!

Why do they want to deny women sexual pleasure?

i helped one of my friends in nursing school with one of her papers, which happened to be on this subject... going on my memory, from most of what we found, if the girl has her ####### (or even parts of her #######) removed... then they are removing a piece of "evil flesh" which will cause a woman to stray from her husband... so, if they remove the pleasure of sex, then the woman will remain faithful property of her husband... in the cases of removal of the #######, some girls are stitched closed with only a small hole left for menstruation... different men have different patterns of sewing... so, if the woman strays, even if stitched up by another, the father/husband can tell... one of the long term problems of this is during childbirth, the scarring that is caused by the repetitive (meaning each time the husband decides he wants to have sex) ripping and sewing of the ####### can cause the death of the child and/or the mother...

also, it is something that is usually postponed until the girl is around 6 or so... some of the ceremonies where it is done en masse, the woman who performs the circumcisions goes from one to the next with the same razor/sharp stone while someone holds the girls down in a line... the girls then have their legs tied together and left in a room together for a period of time until they "heal"

You really have your head up your a$$ on this one. This is a female mutilation that leaves woman unable to experience sexual pleasure. Circumsion does not do anything of the sort, and has debatable advantages.

Unless you think it's not important for a woman to have sexual pleasure, then your agument makes perfect sense.
